Clubhouse, inc Bar & Restaurant
The clubhouse will be open 8am – 5pm on weekdays and 7am – 6pm on Saturday’s, closing at 5pm on Sunday's. We are going to outline in this document how the clubhouse will operate in line with Government guidance.
ALL CLUBHOUSE USERS ARE ASKED TO COMPLY WITH THE TRACK AND TRACE REGULATIONS. IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO USE THE NHS APP, AN ALTERNATIVE REGISTRATION SYSTEM IS AVAILABLE.
Reservations
We will not be asking those with tee time bookings to make a reservation for a table. Simply enter the building following your round following the procedure above, wait to be called forward and you shall be allocated a table. Visitor golf parties will be allocated a table based with their playing partners and availability of a table at the time. Members’ will be able to choose their party when being allocated their table, subject to availability.
All tables are for 2-4 people and we politely asked that furniture is not re-arranged as it has been set out to comply with social distancing guidelines.
Non-golf food and beverage bookings will be by pre-booking only. Availability is limited and where possible, we will accommodate walk-ins but this may not always happen. A booking can be made no more than 2 weeks’ in advance and all food bookings must be single household or support bubble group. For logistical purposes, the maximum number of guests per booking is 6. We thank you for your co-operation and understanding.
Customer and Queue Management
In order to fulfil our requirements, there are several changes we need to make to safely operate. Our maximum indoor capacity is 110 people. This takes into account seated customers’, staff, those ordering, and those using the facilities. Of this a maximum of 90 are seated. In order to maintain a safe, and constant flow of customers’ into the clubhouse, we will be asking all customers’ to queue up the entrance steps when coming into the building. This queue is required for people collecting scorecards, using toilets’ and coming in for food and drink. The last place in the queue is adjacent to the disabled toilet and you will be asked to step forward from there. This will be the only point of access to the clubhouse and decking!
When exiting the building, you will be asked to leave through the patio doors overlooking the 18th green and walk back around the building to either vacate the car park or to head out for your round. This is the only exit from the building. Exterior seating can be accessed via this means too.
Early morning breakfast for those FISHING is available subject to the on-going regulations.
Ordering
To maintain our queue management procedure, all initial orders will be able to be processed by the bar assistant. All orders will be conducted via table service with specific waiters/waitresses for each area or group. Bar orders and those sitting outside on the decking area will have access to a dedicated order phone number which you will be able to text to order with a table number and name for table service.
Members’ and regular customers’ now have the facility to pre-load credit onto the till system to use at their convenience. We highly recommend using this feature if you plan on ordering via text as you won’t accumulate a tab to be paid at the end of the day. Tabs can be carried forward to future visits should the clubhouse be busy at the time of your departure however this is limited to members’ only.
Food and Drink
Drinks will be available during opening hours.
Food will be available from 7am to 3pm Saturdays’ and Sundays. The breakfast menu will be limited to a full english, sausage, bacon and egg butties, with the addition of chip butties and a side of chips available from 10am.
On Sundays’ breakfast will be served until 10am, with Sunday lunch available 12pm to 3pm in line with the above booking schedule. This will also run a limited menu, with a choice of three meats, three starters and two desserts.
Toilets
The only toilets in operation will be the locker room toilets to assist with social distancing as it is much easier to ventilate these and to provide queues. Please follow the guidance when using the facilities. We ask that no more than THREE people use/queue for the facilities at any one time. If you are in doubt, please speak with staff who will advise you of any procedures to follow.
If you are seated outside, you will only be able to access the facilities through coming back into the building the way outlined above. We appreciate this is inconvenient, however we live in inconvenient times. For those indoors please follow the directional markers.
Golf
Please do not endeavour to play golf if anyone in your household, or support group are showing signs of Covid-19 or have tested positive in the last two weeks. You should remain in self-isolation as per Government guidance.
All tee times must be booked, and payment is via contactless card payment. This is preferably done at the time of booking, however is accepted at the time of the round.
THE FOLLOWING SPECIFIC COVID-19 ALTERATIONS REMAIN IN PLACE

- Ball washers are covered up and are out of use.
- Benches and bins have been removed and are otherwise out-of-use until further notice
- Stakes defining the extremities of the course can be treated as immovable obstructions.

Tee times will be available at 10-minute intervals as before, however in the immediate future, they will solely be available in two balls, until 8am, and three balls until 10am and subject to any further restrictions imposed by the Government. Members’ can book four weeks’ in advance, whilst guests' can book up to a week in advance.
THE START OF PLAY AND ON THE DAY
Initially, there will be several changes to the procedure both on and off the course.
- Please do not head to the practice putting green more than 10 minutes before your round, waiting by the course information board until the group ahead have cleared the 1ST tee.
- When tee-ing off, searching for the ball, and putting, please ensure you always remain two metres away from your playing partner.
- Please refrain from picking up stray golf balls when looking for yours.
- When putting, please leave the flagstick in the ground and offer/accept ‘gimmies’ from within 12-inches.
Social distancing is as important after a round as it is during the round, so when the round is over all golfers must leave the course and the club/facility immediately so that there are no gatherings around the clubhouse area.
