COVID-19 Procedures

Clubhouse, inc Bar & Restaurant

The clubhouse will be open 8am – 5pm on weekdays and 7am – 6pm on Saturday’s, closing at 5pm on Sunday's. We are going to outline in this document how the clubhouse will operate in line with Government guidance.

ALL CLUBHOUSE USERS ARE ASKED TO COMPLY WITH THE TRACK AND TRACE REGULATIONS. IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO USE THE NHS APP, AN ALTERNATIVE REGISTRATION SYSTEM IS AVAILABLE.

Reservations

We will not be asking those with tee time bookings to make a reservation for a table. Simply enter the building following your round following the procedure above, wait to be called forward and you shall be allocated a table. Visitor golf parties will be allocated a table based with their playing partners and availability of a table at the time. Members’ will be able to choose their party when being allocated their table, subject to availability.

All tables are for 2-4 people and we politely asked that furniture is not re-arranged as it has been set out to comply with social distancing guidelines.

Non-golf food and beverage bookings will be by pre-booking only. Availability is limited and where possible, we will accommodate walk-ins but this may not always happen. A booking can be made no more than 2 weeks’ in advance and all food bookings must be single household or support bubble group. For logistical purposes, the maximum number of guests per booking is 6. We thank you for your co-operation and understanding.

Customer and Queue Management

In order to fulfil our requirements, there are several changes we need to make to safely operate. Our maximum indoor capacity is 110 people. This takes into account seated customers’, staff, those ordering, and those using the facilities. Of this a maximum of 90 are seated. In order to maintain a safe, and constant flow of customers’ into the clubhouse, we will be asking all customers’ to queue up the entrance steps when coming into the building. This queue is required for people collecting scorecards, using toilets’ and coming in for food and drink. The last place in the queue is adjacent to the disabled toilet and you will be asked to step forward from there. This will be the only point of access to the clubhouse and decking!

When exiting the building, you will be asked to leave through the patio doors overlooking the 18th green and walk back around the building to either vacate the car park or to head out for your round. This is the only exit from the building. Exterior seating can be accessed via this means too.

Early morning breakfast for those FISHING is available subject to the on-going regulations.

Ordering

To maintain our queue management procedure, all initial orders will be able to be processed by the bar assistant. All orders will be conducted via table service with specific waiters/waitresses for each area or group. Bar orders and those sitting outside on the decking area will have access to a dedicated order phone number which you will be able to text to order with a table number and name for table service.

Members’ and regular customers’ now have the facility to pre-load credit onto the till system to use at their convenience. We highly recommend using this feature if you plan on ordering via text as you won’t accumulate a tab to be paid at the end of the day. Tabs can be carried forward to future visits should the clubhouse be busy at the time of your departure however this is limited to members’ only.

Food and Drink

Drinks will be available during opening hours.

Food will be available from 7am to 3pm Saturdays’ and Sundays. The breakfast menu will be limited to a full english, sausage, bacon and egg butties, with the addition of chip butties and a side of chips available from 10am.

On Sundays’ breakfast will be served until 10am, with Sunday lunch available 12pm to 3pm in line with the above booking schedule. This will also run a limited menu, with a choice of three meats, three starters and two desserts.

Toilets

The only toilets in operation will be the locker room toilets to assist with social distancing as it is much easier to ventilate these and to provide queues. Please follow the guidance when using the facilities. We ask that no more than THREE people use/queue for the facilities at any one time. If you are in doubt, please speak with staff who will advise you of any procedures to follow.

If you are seated outside, you will only be able to access the facilities through coming back into the building the way outlined above. We appreciate this is inconvenient, however we live in inconvenient times. For those indoors please follow the directional markers.

Golf

Please do not endeavour to play golf if anyone in your household, or support group are showing signs of Covid-19 or have tested positive in the last two weeks. You should remain in self-isolation as per Government guidance.

All tee times must be booked, and payment is via contactless card payment. This is preferably done at the time of booking, however is accepted at the time of the round.

THE FOLLOWING SPECIFIC COVID-19 ALTERATIONS REMAIN IN PLACE
-
All bunker rakes have been removed
-
Ball washers are covered up and are out of use.
-
Benches and bins have been removed and are otherwise out-of-use until further notice
-
Stakes defining the extremities of the course can be treated as immovable obstructions.
-
Flagsticks are to be retained however they are always to be left in the hole.
- We have ball lifters in each hole to ensure you do not have to reach into the cup and can retrieve your ball with your putter.
-
The on-course toilet will be closed until sanitation can be assured.

Tee times will be available at 10-minute intervals as before, however in the immediate future, they will solely be available in two balls, until 8am, and three balls until 10am and subject to any further restrictions imposed by the Government. Members’ can book four weeks’ in advance, whilst guests' can book up to a week in advance.

THE START OF PLAY AND ON THE DAY

Initially, there will be several changes to the procedure both on and off the course.
-
Please do not head to the practice putting green more than 10 minutes before your round, waiting by the course information board until the group ahead have cleared the 1ST tee.
-
When tee-ing off, searching for the ball, and putting, please ensure you always remain two metres away from your playing partner.
-
Please refrain from picking up stray golf balls when looking for yours.
-
When putting, please leave the flagstick in the ground and offer/accept ‘gimmies’ from within 12-inches.

Social distancing is as important after a round as it is during the round, so when the round is over all golfers must leave the course and the club/facility immediately so that there are no gatherings around the clubhouse area.

LOCAL RULE CHANGES FOR 2020/2021 AND COVID-19 SPECIFIC CHANGES TO RULES

PREFERRED LIES IN BUNKERS

NOTICE TO ALL GRANGE PARK CUSTOMERS

If you reside in a Tier 3 location please respect the Government advice to remain in your local area and we ask you not to travel to Grange Park. If you own or have a lodge break booked, we or Hoseasons' will have already been in touch with you asking you to stay away or cancelling your booking. Golfers', members' and visitors' are asked to respect the guidance as are fisherman and tennis players' who come for breakfast, to fish our lake or to play on our courts.

Holiday Lodge Breaks

In light of the ongoing Coronavirus Pandemic, we have had to make some operation changes to the way we run holiday breaks at Grange Park and make some additions to the procedures before, during and after your stay.

Firstly, I would like to politely remind you that you should not travel to Grange Park if you, or anyone in your household or travelling party are showing symptoms of COVID-19 or have tested positive. All park users will be required to follow the rules and park teams will be asked to ensure the new rules are being followed. Failure to comply with our fair and reasonable park rules may be considered a breach of the terms and conditions of your holiday lodge booking. Please would everyone show consideration for our local community, respecting social distancing at all times. Local relationships are important to us all and some are understandably apprehensive about the potential impacts of returning visitors; they will need reassurance demonstrated by your thoughtfulness.

Following the completion of the necessary risk assessments and in line with the guidance from these we would like to reiterate or introduce the following amendments to the site rules:

            Check-In & Check-Out Procedure

  • The check-in procedure will follow a zero-contact procedure, and we will endeavour to make contact with yourselves between 72 and 24 hours before your arrival to collect the £100 security deposit. At this time we will ensure you are aware of your lodge number and the procedure. The keys for all units will be left sanitised, in the lodge for you. The security barrier is lifted at all times as this has a keypad and cannot be safely monitored. Please confirm your arrival by texting 07592 962999, no later than 9pm; this will be your primary contact number throughout your stay. When checking out, we ask you return the keys to the clubhouse, where a deposit box shall be located to allow for full sanitisation. This box is white and will be located on the steps to the clubhouse. When checking-out please message the ‘arrival’ number, confirming your departure, ensuring to let us know if any member of the party has been ill over the course of your break. Please also leave all windows open in the lodge to allow it to ventilate.
  • In order to fulfil our cleaning procedure, we ask that you do not check-in before 5pm and have checked out on your day of departure by no later than 9am.
  • Prior to departure, we would politely ask you strip the beds you have been using and place the linen in the bags provided. This is to minimise the contact our team have with these items.

Facilities

  • All facilities have their own procedure which is documented on this page. Please scroll to find the procedure relating to the required facility at Grange Park.

Safety and Social Distancing

  • Social distancing must be maintained at all times from other owners, customers and park team members.
  • Please report any symptoms of coronavirus to Jake via 07592 962999, which occur during your stay.
  • It is recommended that you ensure you bring plenty of sanitary and essential items including soap, hand gel, gloves, toilet roll etc. with you for your stay. Bringing your own food and drink may help and reduce reliance on local shops.
  • Please continue to follow all Public Health England basic guidance
  • For the time being, we ask that there are no visitors outside of the main travelling party on site.
  • Waste bins are, well, waste bins. As with any communally touched surfaces, please wash your hands for at least 20 seconds with soap and warm water, or hand sanitiser immediately after disposing of any waste, ensuring to disinfect any door handles you have touched intermediary.
  • Fortunately, due to the few lodges we do have on site, both owned and rented, we do not feel that we require a one way system for either vehicular or pedestrian traffic, there is ample room to more than observe social distancing. The barrier will remain up for the foreseeable future. Regular site checks are being carried out, and anyone unauthorised to be on site shall be removed.

What to Expect During your Stay

  • We are developing thorough Covid secure cleaning procedures for our housekeeping team to follow, ensuring additional cleaning has taken place before each stay.
  • As part of the above, we have taken the decision, in line with Hoseasons’ Safer Stays principles, to remove all unnecessary furnishings including soft furnishings, cushions, throws, additional crockery etc.
  • Small Bottles of Hand Sanitiser are available for personal use in lodges but, as above, it is recommended that you bring your own sanitary items for peace of mind.
  • The clubhouse will be open at least until early August solely on Friday evenings’, Saturday and Sunday. The 18-hole golf course, tennis, fishing and driving range are all open. The Par-3 course will likely remain closed for the foreseeable future. Further information on the facilities at Grange Park and any updates will be available in due course. The procedure for this and all other procedures are on the website for guests to view at www.grangepark.com/covid
  • All lodges are located in one area. If you are coming to Grange Park via the M180, Lincoln or Gainsborough, take the second advertised left turning for Grange Park and head up to the lodge development which is on the right. All hire units are located on the left of the main access road, in numerical order with numbers to the rear of the unit.

Touring and Camping

Allowing customers’ to get away in their touring caravan and tent is important to us at Grange Park, however we have to ensure a COVID secure environment. Therefore, we have had to make the following changes to the way we operate our touring park.

Firstly, I would like to politely remind you that you should not travel to Grange Park if you, or anyone if your travelling party are showing symptoms of COVID-19 or have tested positive. Please would everyone show consideration for our local community, respecting social distancing at all times. Local relationships are important to us all and some are understandably apprehensive about the potential impacts of returning visitors; they will need reassurance demonstrated by your thoughtfulness.

  • Please notify us via text message to let us know when you arrive and depart the site including who is staying with you. For now, we ask that tourers and tents only be used by members’ of the same household or support bubble. I don’t need to know when you go into Scunthorpe etc., only when you check-out
  • For the time being, we ask that there are no visitors outside of the main travelling party on site.
  • Social distancing must be maintained at all times from other customers and park team members.
  • Please report any symptoms of coronavirus to myself via 07592 962999.
  • For now, we do not have the resources to open our facility block. For those who have stayed before, they will know that it is quite small in nature, and social distancing would be near impossible. The outdoor sinks and waste disposal points remain open and will be cleaned and sanitised regularly however as below, following contact with any communal touched surfaces, please wash your hands for at least 20 seconds with soap and warm water immediately after disposing of any waste, ensuring to disinfect any door handles you have touched intermediary. Hand sanitiser is located adjacent to the door of the shower block for communal use.
  • Waste bins are, well, waste bins. As with any communal touched surfaces, please wash your hands for at least 20 seconds with soap and warm water immediately after disposing of any waste, ensuring to disinfect any door handles you have touched intermediary.
  • On the most part, the touring field is a wide expanse where social distancing is more than amply spaced. For this reason we ask you observe this at all times. We have closed pitches where there may be issues arising regarding social distancing with other customers’. Where the access to the clubhouse is though the laurel hedge, direction markers are located.

The clubhouse will be open Friday evenings, Saturdays and Sundays. Full procedures for this can be viewed on our website at www.grangepark.com/
