After over 7 weeks' without a ball being struck, the long awaited return of golf to Grange Park is almost upon us! Following the Government's announcement on the evening of the 10th May 2020 and after awaiting confirmation from the relevant governing bodies, we can confirm that from the morning of Wednesday 13th May 2020, we will be able to return to the course.
With the return comes a number of challenges, none more so than getting the course back to the progressive position we left it in and re-engaging members' after a difficult and reflective period away. With a number of restrictions on golf, and it expected to be a while until further normality can resume, availability at courses is expected to be extremely limited.
We shall, like most be re-opening immediately, however we shall be open on a member-only basis until Monday 18th May to ensure all our members' who would like to play in this time can do so. From Friday, we shall be accepting online bookings for the following week for pay and play customers'. These bookings shall be pre-paid online and should all strictly adhere to the 1-ball or same household and social distancing guidelines.
For the time being, the clubhouse shall remain closed on the most part with attendance on limited occasions. Greenkeepers' and Directors' will be on-site and those pay and play guests should be prepared to show booking confirmation when asked.
Fishing and tennis are also set to re-open from Wednesday as part of the extended allowed sports individuals can carry out. Tennis will be limited to people from the same household, booked online or via our social media, with fishing being limited to four anglers' at any one time, either on their own or with individuals' from their household. Further information will be available in due course.
Further guidelines, specifically relating to Grange Park will be published prior to our opening on Wednesday.
